Andre Braugher Joins Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Cast

Andrew Braugher who is probably best known for his role on Homicide: Life on the Street has been cast to appear in the Fantastic Four sequel movie Rise of the Silver Surfer according to a report by TV Guide Online.

It looks as though Braugher will be playing the role of a general in the superhero movie. Braugher had been set to guest star in this season’s ER on NBC, that role will now go to Forest Whitaker apparently. Filming for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer will begin on August 31st 2006.

Braugher (44) has an impressive track record in film and tv. As well as his run on Homicide, he has also starred in the shortlived Gideon’s Crossing. Recently he appeared in this summer’s Poseidon which has just come out on DVD.

Braugher won an Emmy for his role in Homicide and has been nominated for another Emmy for his role as Nick Atwater in FX’s Thief.
