The contest is very simple. Write a flash fiction story (that’s under 1000 words) using the theme of “Election Horror” and submit your story online to Apex Digest by midnight on October 1th, 2008.
The prizes for the competition are as follows:
- First—Publication (10 cents a word)
- Second—Publication (5 cents a word)
- Third—Choice of Apex Book Company Hardcover
- Fourth—Choice of Apex Book Company Paperback
For more information, to read the guidlines and for the latest updates, keep an eye on the Apex Book Company Website.
While you’re there you may want to nose around a little and see what Apex has to offer. Their byline is “Where Science Fiction and Horror Collide” and they have a variety of books and ebooks available. Also worth a look is Apex Digest which is available online for free.
