Providing the Information That Sci-Fi Fans Need

Audio Commentary Available For Battlestar Galactica

In yet another cool marketing move, the Sci-Fi Channel is making available podcasts of audio commentary for each episode of their Battlestar Galactica tv series. The commentary is by Ronald D. Moore and is available in either direct mp3 format or as a subscribeable podcast.

My question is, if Sci-Fi can be so cool and forward thinking about this show? Why can’t they be like that for their other shows? Oh and why didn’t the pick up Doctor Who (bitter, who says I’m bitter?)?. The only conclusion I can reach is that the blog, commentaries and downloadable episode are all part of Ronald D. Moore’s own publicity campaign rather than Sci-Fi’s.

Thanks to SFSignal for the tipoff on this one.
