Avi Arad Talks X-Men 3
Marvel’s Avi Arad was interviewed recently by Empire Online and amongst other things squashed the rumor that X-Men 3 would feature a woman playing the mutant Angle (who is male in the comics). Arad didn’t give away many other details about X-Men 3 though.
He declined to confirm or deny whether Gambit and Beast would feature in the third X-Men film though he did strongly hint that there would be new mutants featured. Arad also avoided saying whether the plot of the film would focus on the famous Dark Phoenix storyline from the comics. This storyline was hinted at by the ending of X2.
