Battlestar Galactica Gets Second Season
Given its success it was really just a formality, but the Sci Fi Channel has officially ordered a second season of its new Battlestar Galactica series. Details about how many episodes will be produced and when the second season will air hae not yet been worked out.
Battlestar Galactica has aired 5 of its 13 episodes so far to great ratings success. Even better from my perspective its had great critical acclaim too. The show’s creator Ronald D. Moore has indicated that he has already started working on scripts for the show’s second season and that he wants to delve deeper into the shows religious themes and delve deeper into the Cylons world.
I think this is great news. Battlestar Galactica is my current favorite sci-fi series and has the potential to join Babylon 5 as one of my all time faves if they continue to develop the characters and storyline as they have been.
Eoghann Irving is amongst other things the creator and Editor of Solar Flare. He has a life long interest in all forms of science fiction and fantasy and a pressing need to share this interest with anyone who will listen. Find out more at his personal website eoghann.com..

That is exciting news! I’m glad a well written show is getting renewed and not canceled. I can’t wait to see how the arcs next season pan out. If you are a fan of the show, check out The Katee Sackhoff Fan Page at http://www.sackhoff.com
