Solar Flare: Science Fiction News

Hollywood North Report have been publishing some spoilers for the second half of season 2 of Battlestar Galactica. I won’t list the more detailed spoilers here as I prefer to keep the site free of them, but you can find a link to all the spoilers at the bottom of this post.

Of particular interest though are mentions of a new Cylon model appearing towards the end of the season. Word has it that this new Cylon will be played Dean Stockwell (Quantum Leap). It also seems as though there may be some sort of peace movement amongst the Cylons which will throw an interesting wrench into their plans for the Galactica and its civilian fleet.

There will also be some sort of resolution the illness of President Laura Roslin and as a consequence Gaius Baltar’s star will rise even higher. A number of other guest stars will appear over the course of the second half of Battlestar Galactica Season 2. Those guest stars include Richard Hatch returning in his role as Tom Zareck; Dana Delaney will play the character Sesha in one episode; and Lucy Lawless will return for at least one more episode as D’Anna Beirs.

Battlestar Galactica Season 2 returns to the Sci Fi Channel on Friday January 6th 2006. The good people at Universal have sent me a copy of the Battlestar Galactica Season 2.0 DVD so look out for a review of that real soon.
