Battlestar Galactica Season One Episode Guide

A radical re-imagining of the classic 1970's science fiction show Battlestar Galactica. This new show keeps the name and the core concept of a rag-tag fugitive fleet searching for earth. However under Ronald D. Moore's (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Carnivale) guiding hands it has become something much darker and more sophisticated.

Gone are the cheesy special effects and dodgy 70's sets. Also gone are the shallow characters. In their place are some complex and conflicted individuals. The new Galactica is still on the run from the Cylons, but now those Cylons can look like us, which ramps up the tension and paranoia amongst the fleet. In an ironic twist, these Cylons worship a single god, while the human survivors of the 12 colonies worship a pantheon.

The new Battlestar Galactica was launched by a mini-series during which the Cylons launched their attack on the 12 colonies and wiped them out. A small fleet of survivors set off searching for earth under the protection of the only remaining battlestar, Galactica.
