Federation citizen Roj Blake is taken to a resistance meeting outside the city where he is told that he has had his mind wiped and that his family is dead. But Federation troops gun down the resistance group and Blake is put on trial for fabricated crimes against children. Sentenced to life imprisonment on Cygnus Alpha. On the way to Cygnus Alpha Blake meats Jenna and Vila who are also convicted criminals.

Of the “Seven” only three actually appear in this episode. Roj Blake, Jenna Stannis (a smuggler) and Vila Restal (a professional theif).

The security agent’s name is Dev Tarrant. Later in the series one of the main characters will be called Del Tarrant.
