Bryce Dallas Howard In Spider-Man 3?
It’s being reported that actress Bryce Dallas Howard is currently negotiating to play the part of Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3. The third Spider-Man movie will once again be directed by Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson.
Spider-Man 3 is set to being filming this month and it’s not clear yet how big a role Gwen Stacy might play in this latest movie. In the comics Gwen Stacy was Peter Parker’s first girlfriend and in a pivotal story she is kidnapped by the Green Goblin and dies when Spider-man battles the Golbin atop a bridge.
Obviously the movie version of the story is radically different. The character of Mary Jane Watson was used as Peter’s first love interest and she survived the bridgetop battle with the Green Goblin. This raises the question as to exactly what role Gwen Stacy will play in Peter Parker’s life. It is thought that she will be part of some sort of love triangle.
Bryce Dallas Howard starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village and will also star in that director’s upcoming Lady in the Water.
