Captain Picard Does Seem To Need Doctor Crusher After All

Star Trek and movie actor Patrick Stewart was today playing down reports of a heart scare as he filmed scenes for his brand new science fiction show in Manchester, England.

The 64-year-old actor was rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary casualty department after he complained of chest pains. He was connected to an ECG heart monitor and then given a full physical check up by the hospital staff.

The actor released himself a few hours later and returned to the set of his new production entitled “Eleventh Hour” whose spokeswoman said: “Mr Stewart was feeling unwell at the weekend while filming. He got it checked out at the local A&E department and he is absolutely fine. He was not taken by ambulance. He either drove himself or was driven. Someone’s health is a fairly personal matter and Mr Stewart doesn’t want to say anything else on the matter.”

I have been a science fiction, comic book and animation fan for a very long time. I honestly believe that comics are an extremely vital and exciting art form whose true worth is only now beginning to be recognised in the mainstream media and this appreciation can only continue to grow in the future. I regularly write science fiction short stories and send them off to the magazines. So far their response has not exactly allowed me to give up my day job but I plan to keep plugging away at it..
