Claudia Black and Ben Browder Discuss Farscape
Claudia Black , who reprises her role as Vala from the previous season of Stargate SG-1 has commented that she will continue to make Michael Shanks character Daniel Jackson’s life miserable. Black noted that in many ways Vala is at the other end of the spectrum from her Farscape character Aeryn who was almost always serious.
Black also noted that she won’t share much screen time with her former Farscape colleague Ben Browder who will be playing the role of Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell in the new season of Stargate SG-1. This may be a deliberate move on the part of producers to emphasize that Black and Browder are both playing different characters.
Ben Browder indicated that the SG-1 cast has been very welcoming to the newcomers and joking said “Beau Bridges is running the show. Every time he comes into the room, I stand to attention.”
Both Black and Browder say that they hope Farscape continues in some format, mentioning that they’d love to see a Farscape feature film at some point.
