Claudia Black To Become Stargate SG-1 Regular
The Sci Fi Channel have announced that Claudia Black, who played Vala in several episodes of this season of Stargate SG-1, will be joining the regular cast of SG-1 for it’s 10th season. Black, who was previously best known to science fiction fans for her role in Farscape (though I seem to recall an episode of Hercules…) will be joining Ben Browder (also from Farscape), Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks and Beau Bridges all of whom are set to return.
Stargate SG-1 is now set to become the longest running science fiction series on US television and will pass the 200 episode mark during the 10th season. The second half of season 9 of Stargate SG-1 will begin on January 6th 2006 alongside the returns of Stargate: Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica.
Stargate SG-1 becomes the longest-running SF drama on U.S. television and will mark its 200th episode in the upcoming season.
I think this is a great move on SciFi’s part. Black really added something to the chemistry of the cast during her stint in season 9 and I look forward to her return to the show.

I think it would be wonderful to see the Black-Browder chemistry on Stargate? I don’t understand why it’s so forbidden.
Their incredible connection was such an asset to Farscape. I’m am positive Stargate fans would also appreciate it!!
Anyone agree?
