Dark Kingdom, New SciFi Channel Mini-Series
The SciFi Channel has a new mini-series that it will air in March 2006. SciFi has had a remarkably high success rate with their original mini-series. Considerably more so than it has had with its other original movies or series. Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King is a four hour fantasy adventure that will air in two parts on March 27th and 28th 2006 at 9pm.
Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King stars Julian Sands, Kristanna Loken, Alicia Witt, Samuael West, Robert Pattinson and Max Von Sydow. The mini-series is based on a German myth and tells of a young blacksmith who is unaware that his true identity is actually the orphaned heir to a conquered kingdom. When an asteroid hits the blacksmith ends up on an adventure where he discovers his destiny and encounters his true love the Norse warrior Queen Brunhild.
Unlike other SciFi mini-series this one has was actually previously aired in Germany and has been licensed to Sci Fi Channel. Dark Kingdom was written by Diane Duane, Peter Morwood and Uli Edel.
