David Benioff To Write Screenplay For Enders Game
A script writer has been chosen to adapt Orson Scott Card’s SF novel Ender’s Game to film. David Benioff has a relatively short track record, but was screen writer for Troy. Not sure thats much of a recomendation mind you.
Enders Game was originally published in 1977 as a short story in Analog. Orson Scott Card then re-wrote it as a novel, and has since written several sequels, including my personal favorite Speaker For The Dead.
The Enders Game film is scheduled for a 2006 release and is set to be directed by Wolfgang Petersen. Few details beyond that are known yet.
