Dead Zone Ends With Season 5

According to Variety USA Network will be airing the fifth season of The Dead Zone during the summer. That itself isn’t exactly news, but it seems that season five is widely expected to be the final season for the psychic thriller.

While a spokesman for the USA Network has said that the jury is still out on renewal for The Dead Zone and noted that there is an option to pick up a sixth season of the show its noticeable that several regular cast members have actually already been cast in fall pilots and series lead Anthony Michael Hall is rumored to be free to pursue other projects

Some people are speculating that the problem is not with USA Network themselves, but rather with their parent company NBC. NBC’s ratings have been poor recently which is affecting their profits. Inevitably this is causing budget cuts at the cable channels NBC owns.

Once again a great show is going to bite the dust because the idiots behind the scenes can’t make it work. This happened with Space:Above & Beyond, with Odyssey 5, and Jeremiah. Now the Dead Zone.

Of course, the “brains” think we’re the idiots and so feed us crap reality shows, politically correct sitcoms that are anything but funny, etc.

Note to the idiot bigwigs at NBC: You can’t please an audience that you loathe. Hire people who want to entertain most Americans and you’ll make money. Cater to your oh-so-sophisticated echo chamber and you’ll lose.

The sooner NBC gets bought out by some no-name public access TV station in Podunk Idaho, the better.

The Dead Zone is a great piece of televison. It’s a pity that Channel 5 (I’m from England by the way and I do not have sky) show the bloody thing at some unearthly hour (around 1am on a Wednesday morning). It’s a pity this season wil be last I just hope that NBC will change their minds and if they do not I implore them not to do what the witers did to Star Trek: Enterprise and cook up a half baked last episode.

The Dead Zone is one show that should continue, only because there is
a side of true Prophecy(being protrayed) that many are afraid to explore,
which it speaks about, a truth and where our humanity is truly headed for.
The true Sign posts are everywhere if one will only look with a
    Reborn Spirit.

There is still a chance for DZ. Don’t give up yet, regardless of what is printed about it being the last season.
They say say that if ratings are good, then they’ll see. There is a new article out on the new season and AHM in the
June issue of “Sci-Fi Magazine. AMH is interviewed with real psychic Char Margolis.

Don’t give up on DZ! Get excited for what looks like a huge season for the Armageddon arc! :)

Has the show 4400 and the Dead Zone ended and if they contine,
when can we expect them in 2007?

  6. As I posted recently, it turns out that the Dead Zone will get a 6th season after all. The 4400 has also been renewed for another season. I haven’t seen an official date for the series to air, but the assumption is that they will air in their usual slots around summer next year.
