Eragon Casting News
Several actors have now been cast for the movie adaptation of the fantasy novel Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Ed Speleer will star as the title character in the movie, while Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) has signed on to play the role of Arya, the leader of a combative tribe who served as the guardian of a dragon’s egg until her capture.
Djimon Hounsou, Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich will also star in the film which is based on the first book in a best selling fantasy trilogy. The book tells the story of a young boy called Eragon who finds a dragons egg and becomes a dragon rider. The movie is being directed by Stefen Fangmeier and is currently shooting in Budapest.
I wasn’t that big a fan of the first book myself. I found it a little childish and clumsy in places, but its actually something that may work better as a movie, so we’ll see.

that book was far from childish and clumsy, its like saying pluto is close to the sun. hopefully the movie wont ruin the books rep. the harry potter 4 movie did that to the 4th book, it made it all about the tournament, and thats barely half of the book.
