Eragon Trailer Online
You can see a trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation of Christopher Paolini’s book Eragon and the first part of the Inheritance Trilogy (at least it’s only a trilogy so far, but I’m cynical about fantasy trilogies).
The books have been hugely popular but I have to admit I found the first book to be passable and the second to be downright boring for whole chapters at a time. I have a feeling that film is a much better medium for this tale however.
Stefen Fangmeier, the director of Eragon has put together a remarkable cast which includes Jeremy Irons, John Malkovitch and Robert Carlyle who will lend some acting gravitas to what should be a high energy adventure film.
The trailer looks very promising, lots of impressive battle sequences, and a fast pace that rushes over the weaknesses and cliches in the plot. The special effects look very impressive too. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
