The Sci Fi Channel's original series Eureka will be returning for a second season next year apparently. Eureka, which airs at 9PM ET on Tuesdays, has averaged an impressive (for Sci Fi) 2.76 million viewers over the course of 11 weeks since it debuted with a 2 hour premiere on July 18th.
It seems that the plan is to have Eureka return as part of a second night of original series for Sci Fi. The channel has had considerable success on Fridays with Battlestar Galactica, Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate SG-1 (in its final season this year).
Eureka will be joined by a new 22 episode series Painkiller Jane which is based on a comic book and set to start production this November.
Eureka, which is co-produced and written by Andrew Cosby and Jaime Paglia, is about a US Marshal who becomes stranged in a small Pacific Northwest town and discovers that the government has been relocating all the worlds geniuses (and their families) here for years.

Thanks for the info. Obviously I miss-understood the reports I was reading about this. I’ve updated the post with hopefully a more accurate summary of his role.

Jaime Paglia is a co-creator, writer, and co-executive of the Eureka series. He has not had an acting role in Eureka.
