The Philip K. Dick Award is sponsored by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, and the award ceremony is sponsored by the NorthWest Science Fiction Society.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I follow award nominations more than actual award winners as it gives me suggestions on some good authors to read whether that particular author wins or not.

I’m with you. The nominees list offers a bigger selection of authors - more choices for the sf fan. Also, I’ve had limited luck with enjoying the winners.
