Providing the Information That Sci-Fi Fans Need

Firefly: Old Wounds - Fan Audio Drama

It seems that no matter what, Firefly will not die. First the tv series got canceled without even a complete season. Then the highly awaited movie did poor box office, yet still Browncoats remain loyal to Joss Whedon’s unlucky (but not unloved) sci-fi western. The latest development is a new audio production.

Sonic Cinema have announced a new Firefly fan audio drama. The a new episode of this audio drama will be release every two weeks via podcast. The series is being described as Firefly Season 2.

Sonic Cinema was established in 2004 to meet North America’s growing demand for high profile radio drama, audio cinema, voice acting, and books on tape. Sonic Cinema Productions looks to partner with radio stations, podcasts, and audio companies to provide the very best in audio production.

I haven’t had a chance to listen to this myself yet, but I am interested. I’ve really enjoyed some of the Big Finish Doctor Who audio dramas and freeing Firefly of budgetary constraints opens up a lot of opportunity. It all comes down to the writing and voice work. If you’ve heard it, please let me know what you think.
