First Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review

Aint It Cool News has posted the first review I’ve seen so far of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Over all this review looks to be pretty positive. The only criticism at all in the review was that they had apparently injected some humor into the movie which the reviewer didn’t care for.

On the other hand there were particular compliments for the CGI effects (particularly the dragon). Also of note apparently are the improved performances from the child stars, which is good since their roles at this point require a more sophisticated performance.

The review also confirmed what everyone expected which is that even with a two and a half hour running time, the movie does leave out a good chunk of the 700 page book. However, at least according to this reviewer the movie flows well and doesn’t feel as though anything significant is missing.
