Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Paperback Release Date

Good news for anyone patiently waiting on the paperback release of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. US publisher Scholastic and Canadian publisher Raincoast Books will both release a paperback version of the most recent Harry Potter book on the same day.

July 25th 2006 is the day you’re waiting for. The initial print run for the paperback edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be 2 million which takes the total number of print copies of Harry Potter books to an astonishing 120 million.

The hardcover edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince sold an impressive 6.9 million copies within its first day on sale and broke industry records with with an initial print run of some 10.8 million books. The 672 page hardback was priced at $9.99 in the US and the paperback edition will be significantly cheaper.

British publisher Bloomsbury had already announced that a paperback edition would go on sale in the UK on 23rd June 2006.
