Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Up For BAFTA Awards

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is in the running for the Best British Picture award at this year’s BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Awards). Other films nominated include: Dead Man’s Shoes, My SUmmer of Love, Shaun of the Dead and Vera Drake

Prisoner of Azkaban is up for other awards too. Favorite Blockbuster is an award voted on by the British public with the nominations being Shrek 2, The Incredibles, Troy and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

In addition to those the film has been nominated for Make-Up & Hair, Achievement in Special Visual Effects and Production Design.

The BAFTA’s will be awarded on February 12, two weeks before the Oscars.
