Highlander 5 Set For Production
A fifth Highlander film is almost ready for production according to star Adrian Paul’s official website. Writer David Abramowitz (who wrote for the Highlander TV series) is apparently finishing up the script for the new film and if things go to plan it will enter pre-production later this year.
Adrain Paul who played Duncan MacLeod in the television series (which was based on the first two Highlander movies). He then went on to appear in Highlander: Endgame in 2000 alongside Christopher Lamber (who played Connor MacLeod in the earlier films). This time round Paul will be executive producing the new movie.
Now I don’t want to be a big grouch since I enjoyed the original Highlander film and also most of the television series. But Highlander sequel films have been uniformly dismal in my eyes, so I’m really not sure I want to see them having one more go at this concept. Maybe they can prove me wrong.
