Invasion Promos Pulled Due To Katrina

ABC has hurriedly removed its promos for the drama Invasion in the wake of the disaster caused by Hurricane Katrina. Invasion opens with a powerful hurricane destroying the town of Homestead Florida. Unexplained phenomena in the aftermath suggest that the storm was merely a diversion by intergalactic invaders.

Homestead was in fact a real-life Florida community which was leveled back in August 1992 by Hurricane Andrew. With the severity of Hurricane Katrina and the devastation caused in its wake, ABC felt the promos were insensitive at this time.

Invasion is currently still scheduled to air on ABC on September 21st though.
