Invasion debuted in the Fall 2005 season on ABC. The creation of Shaun Cassiday who also worked on American Gothic (another show set in a creepy small town), Invasion is set in a small town at the edge of the Florida Everglades, Invasion starts as the town is threatened by a hurricane. During the storm Park Ranger Russell Varon's young daughter sees mysterious lights floating near the water. Later his missing ex-wife turns up naked with gaps in her memory.
As the community starts to clean up after the storm, strange happenings raise questions about what is really going on in the town. Was the hurricane just a diversion for the start of an alien invasion?

A fair point and if you read my review of the second episode you’ll see my feeling is that it’s lacking something right now. It needs a twist, or a compelling character. Something to make me care just a little more.

i aint touching any series again until i know they will shown… just got myself into Threshold, excellent series… but only one season was aired… now threshold has been cancelled, just hate those jerks who puts it on air and get people hopes up, and then just axes it.,.. to the point, anyone knows how far Invasion is going????

ABC will be sticking with Invasion through to the end of this first season. Beyond that.. it’s anyone’s guess right now.

My family and I are desperately hoping that they stick with invasion for another season!
I agree with the previous comment on networks axing series too quick! Give them a chance! Maybe if they promoted the shows better we would catch on to how great they are quicker!

I’ll continue to give this show a chance but the pilot, while well done, seems like standard body snatchers fare.
