Jack Chalker R.I.P
I am sorry to note that writer Jack Chalker passed away on February 11th. Chalker was the author of over 60 science fiction and fantasy books including the popular Well of Souls series of books. He was hospitalized for congested heart failure on December 6th 2004 and his condition had been poor for the last two months.
Chalker had successfully made a living from his writing since 1978 and in that time had won several awards including the Dedalus Award, Skylark Award and Hamilton-Brackett Memorial Award. He had also been nominated for the Hugo Award a total of 4 times in his career.
