James Bond - Casino Royale Trailer Online
Yes bond isn’t technically science fiction, but damn it, it’s James Bond!
There’s now a trailer online for the latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale which will star Daniel Craig in his first outing as 007. Casino Royale is actually one of the original James Bond novels written by Ian Fleming and is not based on the previously filmed Bond spoof using the same title.
The story of Casino Royale is that on Bond’s first 007 mission and he comes up against Le Chiffre who is the banker to the world’s terrorists. To bring down Le Chiffre’s terrorist netowrk, Bond has to win a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. Bond is accompanied by British Treasury official Vesper Lynd (played by Eva Green) who has been assigned to watch over the government’s money. After surviving a series of lethal attacks by Le Chiffre and his henchmen, the two develop an attraction that only leads to greater danger.
The trailer looks very impressive. Even allowing for the fact they usually cram all the best stuff in there, it looks like it could be the most action packed Bond movie ever. I’m also warming to Daniel Craig as Bond now. They’ve roughed up his looks a bit and he seemed to be channeling a little bit of Sean Connery in his portrayal, which I liked a lot.
Casino Royale will open in theaters on November 17th 2006.
