James Marsden on Superman Returns and X-Men 3
About.com has an interview with actor James Marsden in which he talks about both Superman Returns and X-Men 3, both of which he has a role in. Marsden plays the role of Richard White (son of Perry White) in Superman Returns as well as returning to the role of Cyclops in X-Men 3.
On the subject of Superman Returns Marsden says:
Superman’s gone for a while. He comes back to find, in Bryan Singer’s words, Lois Lane with somebody who’s very Superman-esque. There’s a lot of similarities, so Lois Lane is engaged to this guy. They have a child together. It is emotionally a challenge for Superman to come back and see, I think because Lois has moved on with her life and she’s with somebody else.
Commenting on the recent switch in directors on X-Men 3 with Brett Ratner brought in at the last minute, Marsden simply notes that he things Ratner is a very competent director and that he thinks it will be fine.
Asked what Cyclops role will be in X-Men 3, Marsden has nothing to say as he apparently hasn’t been told yet.
