Joss Whedon Plans To Revisit Buffy On TV… Eventually
According to Sci Fi Wire, Joss Whedon does plan to revisit the world of Buffy and Angel again on tv. But don’t hold your breath. Whedon has been testing the waters and seeing what interest there is, but right now there is no specific project in place.
Whedon is apparently particularly interested in doing a tv-movie based onthe character of Spike who was played by James Marsters and appeared on both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, but again there’s no signed deal and it’s all up in the air.
In the past James Marsters has been pretty enthusiastic about the idea of re-visiting Spike for some sort of one-shot movie. However lately he has been reported as saying that he may be growing too old to play Spike who, as a vampire, is not supposed to age. Whedon had this to say on the subject:
“Well, we’re working. We’re trying. I know. … James is in very good shape. Keep working out, James.”
I can’t decide if that’s supposed to be a positive comment or not.
