Katie Holmes Will Be in Batman Begins Sequel
Contrary to previous reports it seems that Katie Holmes will return in the role of Assistant DA Rachel Dawes for the sequel to Batman Begins. Charles Roven, the producer of Batman Begins has indicated that tthe role of Rachel Dawes will be developed and expanded for Batman Begins 2.
In addition to Katie Holmes, Roven also said that Michael Caine will return as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon and of course Christian Bale will reprise his roleas Bruce Wayne and Batman.
As far as I’m aware this will be the first time that a love interest in a Batman film will make it into a sequel. Up till now those characters have been rather shallow and have simply been replaced by another pretty face in the following film.
As yet there are very few details available for Batman Begins 2 (assuming it will even be called that). Beyond the core casting we don’t yet have shooting date, or even the slightest hint of a plot. For that matter there’s been no real word as to which villain Batman may face in another film.
