Latest Details on Blade TV Series
Production is now set to begin in Vancouver this Monday on the Blade live action pilot movie. The movie is a pilot for a new Blade TV series for Spike TV. Casting is complete and Kirk Jones has been signed to play Blade in the tv movie. David Goyer who wrote the three Blade movies will act as executive producer and he co-wrote the tv movie with Geoff Johns. The movie will be directed by Peter O’Fallon.
In addition to Jones the cast of the Blade TV series will include Jill Wagner, Neil Jackson, Nelson Lee and Jessica Gower. This is how Spike TV describes the movie:
“Spike TV’s Blade focuses on Marvel’s eponymous immortal warrior fighting a shadowy underworld of vampires who want to destroy the human race. The title character is a half-man, half-vampire who uses his incredible powers and skills to fearlessly battle the demonic creatures of the night in a blood-drenched crusade to prevent the ascendance of vampires over mankind.”
I’m more than a little suspicious of any original series created by Spike TV, given what they’ve put on air previously, but you never know it might work.
