Lions of Al-Rassan Film
So I’m casually browsing through a copy of Entertainment Weekly when something catches my eye. The Lions of Al-Rassan. It catches my eye because its a book written by Guy Gavriel Kay, and he writes some great fantasy novels.
Turns out that Ed Zwick has been signed to direct a film version of The Lions of Al-Rassan for Warner Bros Pictures. Vera Blasi will adapt the script from Kay’s novel. For those who aren’t familiar with the book it is set in the fictious city of Al-Rassan in medieval Spain and centers around a love triangle between two princes and a female doctor.
While its not my favorite Guy Gavriel Kay book (that would be either Tigana or A Song For Arbonne) it is very good and I have my fingers crossed that they do the story justice making it into a film.
