Matrix’s Trinity Inspired Wonder Woman Film
Producer Joel Silver talked to Sci Fi Wire about the movie version of Wonder Woman which will be written by Joss Whedon (best known for Buffy the Vampire Slayer). According to Silver, the film will surpass previous, largely poor, attempts to create female superheroes on film. Whedon of course has a track record for strong female characters.
Silver claims that the popularity of the character of Trinity from The Matrix (played by Carrie-Anne Moss) is what inspired him to want to do a Wonder Woman film and think it could succeed. He apparently offered the idea to the Wachowski brothers, who turned him down.
