Mixed Test Screening Reviews For The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
Aint It Cool News has posted a couple of reviews from the test screening of Disney’s movie adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The tone of the reviews is distinctly different. The more positive one is by a fan of the books while the more negative one is by someone who isn’t very familiar with the books.
It wouldn’t be surprising if C. S. Lewis fans were more forgiving of the movie, but actually just from reading the criticisms in that second review, I’d have to say that most of them apply to the source material as well so the film may simply be a faithful adaptation.
Without having seen the film myself, it’s hard to come to any real conclusions. As test screenings the movies are by no means finished. There will be missing music, missing special effects and possibly even some final editing to be done.
