Moore Talks about Battlestar Galactica Season 3

Ronald D. Moore, the executive producer of Battlestar Galactica has been talking about the third season of the show, which starts in October and it seems that this season won’t pull any punches. At WorldCon, Moore told the audience that:

“We’re going to lose some people this year. Not all of our friends are going to make it all the way.”

That statement shouldn’t surprise any fans of the show as they’ve never shied away from killing characters when it suited the story.

On the subject of whether the show was still in line with his original vision of the reimagining, Moore said that yes it was, but admitted there had been a few surprises triggered by both writers and actors.

Moore also talked briefly about the upcoming Season 2.5 DVD which will include the second half of Season 2 (the first have was recently as Season 2.0). The biggest extra on the set will be a 90 minute version of the episode Pegasus which only ran to 60 minutes when it was aired by SciFi.

Battlestar Galactica Season 3 will premier on the SciFi Channel on Friday October 6th
