More X-Men 3 Casting News
New casting news for X-Men 3 sheds some interesting light on the story that we may get to see when X-Men 3 is released. Actor/Director Bill Duke is set to play either a scientist who created robots that hunt down mutants or a politician working for the president depending on which particular report you believe.
The former is more interesting, because those robots could really only be the Sentinels. And those robots cast a long shadow in the X-Men cannon. Menawhile actor Michael Murphy has been cast in the role of Warren Worthington Sr. This character is the father of the mutant Angel who is a key character in the X-Men comics, but has not yet played a role in the movies.
The third casting choice is Olivia Williams as Dr. Moira MacTaggert. This one is interesting because amongst other things, MacTaggert has been a love interest for Professor X in the comics.
X-Men 3 has been plagued with bad press, casting troubles, director troubles and script criticisms. Still having enjoyed the previous two movies as much as I did, I am very curious to see what the third film has in store.
Eoghann Irving is amongst other things the creator and Editor of Solar Flare. He has a life long interest in all forms of science fiction and fantasy and a pressing need to share this interest with anyone who will listen. Find out more at his personal website eoghann.com..
