Neal Adams Signs Media Deal
Legendary comic book artist Neal Adams has signed a deal with Pterodactyl Productions to develop his concepts for both film and television media outlets.
The famed artists Continuity Studios has been producing new comic book titles since 1985 and in that time they developed 13 different titles and over 200 new characters.
This wide output has attracted Ivan and Barney Cohen of Pterodactyl and independent producer Gabriel Grunfeld to invest money into the scheme. The business end of the project will be handled on the Continuity side by Neal’s wife Marilyn Adams.
Neal Adams has worked on numerous titles for all the major and most of the independent comic book companies. Perhaps his most honored work was on the Green Lantern / Green Arrow title which was the first comic to really show the serious effects of drug abuse.
Neal is also a long time advocate of creator’s rights and was instrumental in helping Superman inventors Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel to reach a financial settlement with DC comics.
I have been a science fiction, comic book and animation fan for a very long time. I honestly believe that comics are an extremely vital and exciting art form whose true worth is only now beginning to be recognised in the mainstream media and this appreciation can only continue to grow in the future. I regularly write science fiction short stories and send them off to the magazines. So far their response has not exactly allowed me to give up my day job but I plan to keep plugging away at it..

Neal Adams will be an incredible credit to comic books through his accomplishments of science.
Not only did his art renovate comic books entirely and more defined the superhero idea, but he is
also the inventor of Batman. In 1939-40 two artist created the character, one of them being the
writer of his story, that writer was Robert Kane who is more famed than the other artist or Neal
Adams himself. But what is neglected is that Neal Adams was the final creator who delivered the
proper input to bring Batman to it’s finality. Through the final visual that Adams supplied the
Batman was now complete and much more understandable as a character by simple visual. His
sleek, demonic, yet intellegent look impressed him to be a scientist not a thug like say Wolverine
or Punisher. And the greatest detective ever and not a brawny bully like the “animated series”.
Kane may have discovered Batman but Neal Adams invented him along with of course the universe
supplied by Julie Schwartz and along with the writing of Dennis O’Neil.
As art reflects life Neal Adams’s life will reflect his art, since he drew and invented the
worlds most brilliant scientist, he himself has recognize a true scientific concept that couldn’t
be more obvious. An accomplished scientist in his own right, he is also Extremeley athletic at his
age of 60!! Read his discussion boards and go over the concepts regarding the Earth, dinosaurs,
and sub atomics at his website; nealadams.com View his short clip videos explaining them. Why
the scientific community of the Western world would deny his discovered truths is arrogance at
work with the same character of villiany you would find in a dam comic book.
Thanx for pushing Batman to his final phase, for defining how comic books and superheroes
in general should REALLY look, and educating the world from your dilligent study of science.
Long live comic books and toons, long live the Batman, long live Neal Adams, and long live
courage.
