New Babylon 5 Podcast
If, like me, you are or were a huge fan of the Babylon 5 science fiction series produced by J. Michael Straczynski then you might be interested to know about a new fan produced podcast that will focus on all things Babylon 5. If you ready my Top Ten Sci Fi Shows series of posts, you’ll know that I rate Babylon 5 very highly indeed so hearing about this immediately peaked my interest.
In a post on the Babylon Podcast website they explain the motivation behind starting a podcast so many years after the show itself has finished:
There’s a reason we’re here, now. It’s all because of a television show.
That show awoke us to the possibility that scifi television could be more that we’d experienced prior to that time. It became a shining beacon for a different style of storytelling; a style that appealed to fans of story and imagination, and that confused network executives… leaving it all alone on the airwaves.
The project is the work of Tim Callender, Jeffrey Willerth and Summer Brooks and The Babylon Podcast: Show 0 is already available on their site for download.
