Category: Television
published July 3rd, 2005

There's another Star Trek an film online. The producers of the Starship Exeter fan film series have released the first of five parts of their second episode The Tressaurian Intersection. Similar to the fan video series Star Trek: New Voyages, Starship Exeter is set in the timeline of the original Star Trek series.

Unlike New Voyages though, Starship Exeter chronicles the adventures of the crew of the USS Exeter which is a Constitution class starship commanded by Captain John Quincy Garrovick. The Tressaurian Intersection has the Exeter investigating the disappearance of the starship Kongo and the descruction of a Starbase. The episode was written by Dennis Russell Bailey who co-wrote the Next Generation episodes Tin Man and First Contact.

This episode has been produced over three years and is a followup to The Savage Empire which was released in December 2002. The Tressaurian Intersection is a one hour episode and it is being released in several separate parts to reduce the load on the server. The first part is currently available at the Starship Exeter website and the remaining four parts will be made available for download over the next several weeks.
