Thanks to SFSignal for bringing to my attention a new film based on a Philip K. Dick short story.
This time the story is “The Golden Man” and Nicholas Cage is being fingered to star. The film will be called Next and directed by Lee Tamahori from a script written by Gary Goldman ( who also adapted “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” into “Total Recall”).
In the film, Cage plays a man who can see the future. He is forced to choose between saving the world and saving himself. An interesting concept certainly. I’m not familiar with the original story so really don’t know how closely (or not) the film will follow that.
Oh and John, you’re not alone, I like “Minority Report” too.
