In Vroengard Academy players learn to become Dragon Riders “through a series of fun and challenging trials”. The puzzles and clues are all based on Paolini’s books (Eragon and Eldest) and the game will playout as an online and offline scavenger hunt.
Clues will include messages from the author and Random House retail partners. Vroengard Academy runs from June 2nd through to September 26th shortly after the launch of Brisingr (the third book in the Inheritance cycle) which will be on sale September 20th 2008.
The grand prize will be a trip to meet Christopher Paolini near his home in Montana, but there will also be weekly sweepstakes.
