Richard Dean Anderson To Guest Star in 200th Stargate SG-1
Based on the feedback I’ve seen here, this bit of news should be welcome to many. Former SG-1 series star Richard Dean Anderson will be appearing in the 200th episode of Stargate SG-1, reprising his role as General Jack O’Neill. He will also be appearing in a number of other episodes of both SG-1 and Atlantis for the new seasons.
Stargate SG-1’s 200th episode which is entitled 200 will be a sequel of sorts to the 100th episode Wormhole Extreme and will feature an appearance by Willie Garson.
Production on the 200th episode will commence on April 5th in Vancouver. The show, which is now about to enter it’s 10th season, is the longest running sci-fi series on American television having finally surpassed even The X-Files. The show currently averages some 2.2 million viewers per episode despite several major cast changes and shows no signs of ending.
Many fans though have missed Richard Dean Anderson’s contributions to the series and I suspect that this news will be very welcome.

It’ll be nice to see Mr. Anderson make an appearance. I really like Ben Browder, and he brings his Farscape intensity to the role of Lt. Colonel Mitchell, but he has a tough act to follow.

It is sad that RDA is not on the show anymore. What happened did he not
he not want to go on. He truly was a great actor. I have followe
ed him since General Hospital. When will he be on again. I miss
ed the 200th episode.

Guarantied that when Richard Dean Anderson stars
back on stargate episodes the show will double
its 2 million viewers. Although the other stars
are of great value to stagate sg1, Richard’s
character is still the inspiration to the #1
episode ever, STARGATE SG1.

I just want to say that I saw the 2ooth espidode of Statgate SG1. It sucked. I think yo could come up with a better story line than that. It really did not do Stargate SG1 justice. I have watched this show forever and I think to have Richard Dean Anderson back and only show him a few times was awful. He made the show. Sorry to say I am disappointed in the way the show is going. I now like Stargate Atlantis better. Richard was the show. Sorry
