Science Fiction Web Round Up #4
It’s been a long time since my last roundup but it’s back with another crop of articles worth reading around the web. Remember, I can only link to it if I know about it. So if you read or write something you think others would be enjoy. Let me know.
- SF Signal gets the ball rolling this week with The SF/F Genre Will Eat Itself which addresses fans strange obsession with dividing into even smaller sub-genres and conducting clan warfare.
- io9.com weighs in on the question Have Superhero Movies Killed The Summer Movie Season? My answer. No, this was just a way for Entertainment Weekly to grab some internet headlines.
- With an eye to the new Incredible Hulk movie, iFMagazine.com presents and interview with Kenneth Johnson on the subject of the Incredible Hulk.
- SFX has an Author Interview with Paul Cornell which is well worth a read.
- MIND MELD Makeup with Jay Lake: Scientific Accuracy in Stories from SF Signal gives another answer to the question Is there a minimum level of accuracy an author should adhere to? I think his answer is a pretty good one.
- And yup it’s SF Signal again with MIND MELD: Who Are Tomorrow’s Big Genre Stars? which lists some people you might want to look out for. Even if they don’t all turn into future stars they may have some stuff you’d like to read now!
