Serenity Trailer Tuesday26th April
According to a posting at Whedonesque, we should see the first official trailer for Serenity this Tuesday. The trailer will initially appear exclusively on Apple movie trailers in various sizes. The trailer will then hit the theaters the following Friday. Apparently the trailer will contain some spoilerish elements as far as the plot of the movie goes.
Serenity is based on Joss Whedon’s short lived tv series Firefly, and has been directed by Whedon. Despite its short run on Fox, Firefly built up a passionate cult following, perhaps particularly because Fox butchered the run, showing it out of order and then not even showing the final episodes.
Personally I was never really able to get into the show. The sci-fi western concept was interesting enough and the characters certainly had depth, but something just didn’t click for me. Still I’ll be very curious to see what this trailer is like.
