Shaun Of The Dead Comic Announced
IDW Publishing are becoming a force in the comic book industry with their expanding portfolio of titles and very high production values. The company which currently does the tie-ins for the C.S.I television shows is branching into movies with an adaptation of the hit zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead.
The 4 issue mini series, which premieres in June, will illustrate the full shooting script and also several deleted scenes. The artistic team of Chris Ryall and Zach Howard will be illustrating the entire project and this is good news for anyone who remembers Howard’s wonderful work on Detective Comics.
This new work is done with the full cooperation and encouragement of the original films production team of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright.
I have been a science fiction, comic book and animation fan for a very long time. I honestly believe that comics are an extremely vital and exciting art form whose true worth is only now beginning to be recognised in the mainstream media and this appreciation can only continue to grow in the future. I regularly write science fiction short stories and send them off to the magazines. So far their response has not exactly allowed me to give up my day job but I plan to keep plugging away at it..
