As the race for the Senate heats up between Jonathan and Lex, Jonathan receives an anonymous threat to drop out of the election. Later Clark finds Jonathan badly beaten and determines that he will find the attackers. Lois is captured and fored to attempt to assassinate Jonthan when he gives a speech.
