Warner Home Video will release the Smallville Season 5 DVD boxed set on September 12th 2006. The six disc set will feature all 22 episodes from the fifth season of the WB’s hit series Smallville.

Over the course of the season: Clark has to face of against rogue Kryptonians; Lex Luther launches his own vicious political campaign; the Fortress of Solitude rises; Aquaman surfaces and tragedy strikes the Kent family despite all Clark’s powers. Throughout the season Clark’s love for Lana Lang deepens while he and Lois Lane remain friendly adversaries and a spaceship mystery slowly unfolds.

In addition to the 22 episodes from the season, the Smallville Season 5 DVD set will include several special features such as:

• Smallville’s 100th episode: The Making of a Milestone
• Commentary on two episodes
• Unaired Scenes
• Vengeance Chronicles Webisode Gallery

Total running time for the season 5 boxed set of Smallville is 1012 minutes with a retail price of $59.98.
