Spider-man 3 Villains
Rumors are swirling about who the villains in Spider-man 3 will be. Its been reliably reported that Sandman will be one of the supervillains in the third Spider-man movie, but there are rumored to be three further villains appearing in this one.
The three other villains (and remember this is all rumors at this point) are Hobgoblin, Vulture and Venom.
Lets hope this one isn’t true. Four villains is a hell of a lot for one movie, particularly when all four of them have yet to be established in the Spider-man movie universe. It’s not like the comics where the Sinister Six can team up and we already know about them so they don’t have to have their origins explained.
I’m also a little suspicious that they would waste a fanboy favorite like Venom as just one of four super-villains in a Spider-man film.

I’ve heard repeated reports that Raimi is not enamored of Venom and does not want to use him in the movies….let’s hope it’s true.

I’ve heard similar comments on the subject of Venom Michael so I don’t think its very likely Raimi will use him. However I think given the character’s popularity amongst Spider-man fans, its really just a matter of time before he shows up in a Spider-man film.
Eventually I imagine Raimi will move on to other things and some other director will take over.

I’ve heard D.H. Church as the Sand Man and I think that’s ok. I really don’t care.
What I want to see though is dualing goblins! I saw a pic of Topher Grace with blond hair.

Sam Raimi’s problems with Venom’s violence I think have been based on Eddie Brock’s
lack of direction in comics since his creation. Originally Eddie was a devout Catholic
about to commit suicide, but now he no longer seems to have the inner conflict he
started out with. If Venom were to appear in a Spiderman movie, they would have to show
his struggle prior to joining Spidey in battle against Carnage.
You can’t do Venom without Carnage.
