Stan Lee vs. Marvel.
SciFiDaily has a summary of Stan Lee’s interview on 60 minutes. The short of it is he felt wronged by Marvel, used to feel it was a wonderful company etc. etc.
The man is a wonderful huckster. Lets be clear about this. Stan Lee got paid for all his contributions to Marvel comics. He also got a lot more publicity and public acclaim from them than his co-contributors. One of the reasons for that is he’s so good at spinning the story.
Its really simple. If his contract does state he should get a percentage of the profit, then he should. But its business. This isn’t a good guy/bad guy issue and Stan Lee isn’t some poor downtrodden comics creator. He’s got a million dollar salary.
